THE PRAYER MERC WITH CURE AND INSIGHT RULES SUPREME

Emilio is my new hero for any caster build.

Thanks to the new runeword Cure, you can now create a merc that will basically remove the need to use mana potions, healing potions or any other potion. And all that on a budget.

We already knew that giving the Insight runeword to your Act 2 Prayer Merc worked extremely well because Prayer and Meditation synergize. But the Cleansing Aura that comes with the new Cure helmet you will be using also stacks.

The merc's skill is Prayer. Prayer's benefit is applied to Cleansing and Meditation. So when you run Meditation or Cleansing, from an item or otherwise, your innate skill bonus in Prayer is applied. The Prayer mercenary will benefit from both Cleansing and Meditation, and the prayer benefit will be applied to both separately.

In short with this merc on your side not only your mana problems are over (that is why you have him wielding an Insight stick) but the health regeneration works so fast you seldom have to use a health potion again.

On top of that the Cleansing aura that comes with the helmet makes short work of poison issues and removes curses in only a fraction of the time they normally last.

Insight and Cure are both dirt cheap but mandatory for this Prayer Merc. The armor you give him is completely up to your needs and wealth.

If you want life leech on top of his fast health regeneration you can give him Chains of Honor to make sure he never dies. If you do most of the killing yourself Fortitiude will be the goto armor.

Both these are a bit pricy, so on a budget you give him Treachery (an extremely good but cheap armor runeword) or any unique armor that has life leech on it. You can counter any resistance issues he has on lower levels by socketing that and slap an Um rune or all-res jewel into it.

I have been using Emilio both on my NovaSorc and Templar Din and it works like a charm.

Hey that seems very interesting. I will give it a try! I was thinking of making Temper helmet. Hoping my merc will survive trav. I will make Cure and give it a try.
