ISSUE WITH TOON AND EXPANDED STASH

If I load starter toon with expanded storage no problem. If I load a edited toon with expanded storage it just loads the unedited toon. If I turn off expanded storage the edited toon loads with all changes intact. anyone else have this issue as I really would like to use the expanded storage.
