is there a way i can edit the level requirement

i tried everything i can think of and its either making it level 137 or 45 id like to have a level 1 requirement

when i try to put the new .key and .d2s file in the folder my character does not change in game. can anyone help?

I tryed using this editor for the first time today, but its not working.

I make a new char, went to the editor and imported the file, put on the sigons set, saved it, copyed the files into the folder and replaced the old once, but nothing changed.

I am using the new version of the game.

I don't know how to put the file in the diablo's files and idk where

i need help.

Help - closed game - tried hero editor and tried simple changing gold to 990000 - saved - then deleted original file and copied new one over. Restarted game and character is no longer showng in character selection screen.

Other un-edited characters still show up. If I copy back the original file then the character shows up once again.

Am using V1.3.70409 (V2.4.3)

just started using this and when i made the character and every time and try to play that character it says failed to join what am i doing worng

Is there a tutorial/how to use write-up? I have over 50 years experience with computers, and I can't get any changes I make to show up in the game.

When I download the hero editor file i only get the .d2s file and not the key and other files. How do I get them? just having the d2s files i keep crashing

OK, I have a Lev. 24 Necromancer, and a couple nights ago, I edited a few of the "Skills" with no problem. This is an online character. Tonight, 18 Aug, I tried to do the same, but it will not allow me to. Trying to add like 2 to the Bone Spear and it simply will not allow it. No problem the other night, but not now... ?????

Hi all. Love the hero editor, thank you so much for all your hard work! The only issue I have is adding sunder to an item or charm. It shows up in the editor, but not in-game. I am up to date and would appreciate some help with this please.

Thanks for getting back. I have only used this for about a week but I used the old version back the day so I have a good start. I will explore it more to look for that.

Same issue with mine. Character disappeared after editing. Version 1.3.70409

Does the game need to be open when doing the editing?

Updating here: Hero Editor needs an updated version of D2R. Older than the 1.3.x version repack. For you all using the repack, just search for a newer build. Mine worked after updating to 1.6.x

Is the hero editor compatible with saves from ReMoDDeD mod?

im having an issue, i get a "failed to join" error every time i try and load a character (even if i just make a blank new one without doing anything custom to it). i did the file move with the game fully closed, the game is completely up to date and my other characters work fine but any custom characters from here completely fail to load no matter what i do any not a single post here has an answer to this issue

Saving has never worked for me. The file you create, type d2s.lnk, is only 800 bytes large, a real .d2s file is about 3kb. The game does not even recognize the character with your .d2s file.

Im trying to make a superior base with % enhanced damage. when i click that option it only allows me to give flat ### - ### damage. not % enhanced damage.
