CANT JOIN OFFLINE GAME

Hello, I discovered hero editor for d2r and I was loving it. However, my computer crashed and my favorite character disappeared and I can no longer play offline games. I get the message "can't join the game". I have already uninstalled the launcher and the game, but the problem continues. Has anyone had this problem and knows how to resolve it? Thanks

I have the same problem "cant join game" only on my created characters. games up to date and I'm on windows os. Ever figer this out ? Ps. I went step by step rebuilding and saving after each action. It terns out it crashes from me trying to mod the staff mods on necro head. But I'm not getting "can't join the game" now.
